Mooring rope certificates more than just a tick in the box (LNG Ship/Shore interface of 19 November 2020)
Most of you are familiar with the latest OCIMF MEG 4 recommendations. An important aspect of the MEG 4 is that ropes are tested all on the same way. This will create a same level playing field. This will make it possible for operators to make well considered decisions. Each rope will have their own characteristics and because of that different test results. The test results are to be mentioned on the factory test certificate.
But do we really know how to interpreted the indicators and how to use them in our own operation?
In this short presentation I would like to walk you through this by using our own factory test certificate as an example.
