Lankhorst Ropes enhances customer service at Distribution Centre

Lankhorst Ropes has embarked on a project which will result in a step change in customer service at its worldwide distribution centre in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. Further investment in the centre’s enterprise resource planning system will make it more responsive to customer demand and streamline ordering.

Commenting, business analyst for Lankhorst Ropes, Vincent Oude Lansink said “Lankhorst’s investment in the Dordrecht distribution centre will enhance our customer service by allowing us to manage stock in real time, ensuring stock levels are always accurate. The changes will also enable us to more effectively plan our stock, so our most in demand ropes are always quickly available to customers.”

The first phase has been completed with the installation of a dedicated wireless network and stock management software as well as new product processing equipment. Dordrecht serves Lankhorst’s customers around the world, distributing a large range of synthetic fibre ropes and slings, steel wire ropes and confections.
