Lankhorst Ropes USA is working in parallel with Philadelphia-based, Phillystran, a world leader in custom engineered fibre ropes for marine, mining, utility, oil and gas, and industries. It is the leading supplier of high performance fibre ropes to the US Navy and US Coast Guard. 

We’re are also working with our strategic partner Precision Tension Solutions (PTS) based in Houston. PTS designs and customizes high performance synthetic ropes with complementary rigging components.  

Making a Difference 

Heading up Lankhorst Ropes USA is Commercial Director Mark Pieter Frölich. Based in Philadelphia, Mark Pieter is a mechanical engineer with over 12 years’ experience with maritime ropes. He has worked in the European and Middle Eastern shipping and oil and gas markets and brings a track record of success. 

As regional manager in the Middle East, Mark Pieter has spent the past seven years successfully founding and growing the WireCo WorldGroup branch office in Dubai. Along the way he has achieved major fleet wide synthetic rope improvements with large global shipping companies.
